I cant quite remember how we found Baysbrown Farm but wow are we glad we did. Offering 360 degree views of the Langdale pikes and other hills in the Langdale valley it really is amazing in fact everyone that we have took there are gobsmacked and return and it is always talked about it really is a find. ! Although it can and does get busy it never feels crammed up we have always found an area to set up and due to it not having set spaces everyone seems to give the social space between camps. Toilets always clean and showers are good. There is a breakfast van on site during peak times also. If you are on the bottom of the site the only facilities are up at the farm which is about a 5 minute walk, but with the views on the way up you ll be making excuses for the walk to the facilities. The renowned Sticklebarn pub run by the National Trust is half an hour walk from the campsite perfect for an evening stroll and a pint after a day exploring. The village of Elterwater is also a similar walk with a pub and cafe. You can amble further along following the river to Skelwith Force also from here you have a choice of moderate walks over Loughrigg to High Close and Grasmere.

You are spoilt for choice with pubs and walks the latter of which you can find our favourite walks in this area HERE. If you are visiting the Lake District whatever your reason we would without doubt recommend Bays brown as a place to stay. You can find further information on the beautiful Langdale Valley HERE.
