OUR RATING 4/5 Howarth Farm, is a working farm and campsite set in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. A back to basic site.
They have plots for tents, campervans and caravans and open from around March until October. The owners are very approachable and friendly and will offer any advice if needed.
The camping / caravan field is a large open field with a pitch where you like  offering 360 views and is over shadowed by Simons seat.
They have a small toilet and shower block which are very basic but always clean and more than suitable. .
There are no electrical hook-ups for tents or campervans on the field though the farm does have static caravans that can be rented long term in a separate field.
There are many local walks from the site some if which can be found on our Family Friendly Walks guide page and 2 pubs in close walking distance and other pub and cafes can be found in nearby Burnsall and a bit further on Grassington
I stumbled upon this site many many years ago by chance but since that visit I have returned every year, most years more than once and it is a place we now call our second home.
