This walk starts at the main car park before heading down a well made track to a lovely beck which you will follow through woodland, up steps and across boardwalks and over bridges before a little scramble along rocks brings you to the fantastic Mallyan Spout the highest waterfall in the North York Moors at over 70 foot.

Once you’ve admired the waterfall you then continue along and eventually climb up out of the valley to the road. Here the options for longer routes are open to you taking in moorland with open views or field edge paths or the direct route back into the village to visit the many shops, pubs, cafes and iconic buildings as featured in heartbeat the T.V series there is also a playground for the kids to burn off more energy if they need to.
