Well it mentioned views in the reviews but upon  arriving……wow the views were pretty outstanding.
We met the owner who was very welcoming and helped us choose a spot and explained where things were and left us to it. We levelled the van off and got set up. We couldn’t help looking out over the amazing views.
The toilets and showers were really clean, there was a large room with washing up facilities complete with tea towels !!
Looking at the map there are a lot of walks that can be done straight from the campsite, Marc took himself up a local hill with Mika one evening with 360 views.

The following day the forecast for the morning was pretty shabby so we went to Llanfair Slate Caverns which was only a five minute drive away there’s also a children’s farm too but this time we didn’t go to the farm maybe next time.
The mines were entertaining and Coben loved his hat and torch and turned into fireman Sam apparently 🙂
Once we had explored the mines we grabbed a coffee from the onsite cafe and some cake of course which was lovely.

The weather improved so we then spent the rest of the day on the beach building sandcastles and rock pooling.

The campsite had a choice of 3 fields 2 without electric and one with. All with fantastic views.
There was a viewing point with picnic benches which was a nice touch and one building housed all the facilities.

This included 4 toilet cubicles all with there own wash basin,  2 family wet rooms and a single shower also.
There are 2 sinks for washing up  these had tea towels and washing up liquid provided which was a lovely gesture in this room There was also a washer and dryer.
All very clean !

There’s plenty of walking straight from the campsite into the hills and mountains and if we return it will be have the campsite as base and go hiking.

It definitely gets recommended by us for a visit.
