Route Details

1) Starting from the car park cross at the pedestrian crossing and head up hill, upon teaching the fish and chip shop turn left and follow road downhill until you cross a bridge

2) Once you have crossed the bridge turn right picking up a footpath between the houses follow this through gates and stiles crossing a field then following the beck on your right until you reach a bridge.

3) Cross the bridge then follow the beck until some stepping stones are reached cross with care keep following the beck crossing more stepping stones until you reach a bridge where you turn left not crossing, follow road/driveway uphill, look out for the stile ahead leaving the drive cross this and continue uphill crossing another stile and immediatly turn right following the footpath arrows through fields until you exit onto a road, turn right follow downhill reaching a footpath on your right entering Little Beck Woods.

4) Follow the path through woodland over boardwalks pass the Hermitage pick up signs to the waterfall and cafe.

5) Leave the waterfalls and follow the road uphill taking a bridleway on your right, this levels out giving good views follow this passing a farm then through a lovely pine forest upon reaching another road turn right and immediatly left follow the road which turns into a track that will lead you to another road where you take a left and follow it down to the bridge where you turned off earlier and retrace your steps back to the car park.
